Joachim Bamrud
Biography
Joachim Bamrud, the editor-in-chief of Miami-based Latinvex, is an award-winning journalist and Latin America expert who has appeared on CNN and Fox News ( The O'Reilly Factor) and been interviewed by media such as Time, Reuters, Bloomberg and the Financial Times.
He has covered Latin America for more than 30 years for various U.S., European and Latin American media, including Reuters, The Economist, Economist Intelligence Unit, UPI, The Miami Herald, Global Finance and MiningWeekly.
Bamrud is the founder and former editor-in-chief of Latin Business Chronicle and has been editor-in-chief of Latin Trade magazine twice.
He is the recipient of various awards, including two from the American Society of Business Press Editors.
Bamrud was born in Spain, grew up in the United States and started his journalistic career in Norway. He has lived and worked as a journalist in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
